Candle Care
Burning your scented soy candle
Soy wax has a memory, pretty cool hey, so each time you light your candle it is important to allow the wax to melt to the edge of the jar. This will prevent your candle from tunneling (burning a whole in the middle of your candle).
Trim that wick
Before lighting your candle after burning, trim the wick to 5mm with a pair of scissors or a wick trimmer if you have one. This will make your candle last longer and burn safely.
Safety First
Okay you know the rules kids, never leave a lit candle unattended or within reach of small hands and pets, and please don't leave your candle near curtains or an open window. Only burn your candle for 2-3 hours at a time to prevent your glass vessel from overheating. This will also increase the life of your candle. Burn your candle on a heat resistance surface.
Reuse / Recycle
Our jars are great to re-purpose when your candle is finished. They look super cute planted with succulents, as holders for pens and makeup brushes, and are great for storing buttons or guitar pics and any other trinkets.
Simply warm the jar in the oven on a low heat for a minute, this will melt the remaining wax. Using paper towel, wipe out the wax and the wick from the jar and dispose of thoughtfully, never pour wax down the drain. Now you can rinse your jar with soapy water and it's ready for use.
If you would like to keep our cool labels on your jar, we don't recommend this last step as the labels are made from premium paper, simply wipe again with paper towel .
Storage
Take care of your candle by storing it in a cool place away from sunlight and high temperatures. Enjoy!
